Been a long time since i posted something….

Hello World,

Been a very long time since I have posted up a blog, but with good reason: I’ve been working like crazy. For the entire month of April, I was shooting the behind the scenes production stills on a movie called PIZZA MAN. It was a really fun experience and I got to work with Frankie Muniz, David Lawrence, Diamond Dallas Page, Shelly Long, Michael Gross, and Amber Borycki. I’ll be posting up pictures soon, all photos need to be approved for online usage. However, I did take some really awesome promotional photos of Michael Gross, Diamond Dallas Page, and Frankie Muniz. Pretty exciting stuff.

I can say it’s safely taken me 1 full week to recover from 3 weeks of night shoots. I’m now in pre-production for a music video for some good friends of mine Everyday Tragedy. We have an awesome concept, a great location, and a fantastic crew. Looking forward to filming it. I will also be directing some commercials that week. Needless to say I am incredibly busy.

That is all for now, back to my shot lists. I’ll be posting up pictures, a Coors Light commercial and some other stuff soon!!

New website launched!

After many months of having an “under construction” sign on my website I have launched my new site.

My life-long friend (Quite Literally), PT Shroeder, at Imigent Media created my site. He also delivers what I want and I can’t complain.

Just an FYI, my Coors light commercial will go live soon.

What is happening in the world of DJay Brawner.

Here I sit at Silverlake Coffee, my favorite spot in my neighborhood to read, write, and work, and I figured it is an appropriate time let you in on a few things that are going on.

First and foremost this week I’ll be photographing my favorite band of all time Alkaline Trio. Can not wait.

As you may have noticed, a video I helped to produce with Anthem Films for the band Cobra Skulls, was just released. This was a fun project to be a part of since we filmed it in my hometown of San Francisco.

February 1st saw the launch of my new webseries Framework. The launch has proven to be a success, and we have been receiving a lot of very positive feedback from it. In march we will be releasing some other very exciting content for the show, and we plan to have new episodes shortly there after. I am currently working on writing a new series with my cousin Theresa Schwegel which I hope to direct and produce in April or May.

Two weeks from today I will be on set directing three commercials. Looking forward to flexing my short form commercial skills. A few weeks after that I’ll be headed to the SXSW music festival in Austin, TX. I’ve never been before, yet have always wanted to go.

2010 Shaping up to be a busy year.

Hey Everyone,

Besides posting about my photography, I haven’t really taken the time to post any other news on here on my Blog. Well, let’s start by saying 2009, I’m glad you are almost over. You were a strange year filled with ups and downs, and I am glad to see you go. But, not before I shoot the pilot episode of “5th And Spring.” Next week I will be directing the first episode of a web-series that I created alongside a couple friends of mine. We have put a lot of time and effort into it this project, and I am very happy that it is all coming together.

In January I will be directing a music video for the pop artist Arielle Paige. I met her through a mutual friend, and she approached me about directing her music video. I have worked with many times of artists, but never a solo pop singer. It will be a lot of fun, and I am sure challenging, but at the end of the day I know I will have a great product to show. In the beginning of February I will be directing 4 commercial spots. My good friend Tyler Trautman wrote these spots for me, and turned a couple of my ideas into some great commercials. We will be doing commercials for Stride, Prius, and Budweiser. Each commercial will be comedic in it’s own way. This will be a very fun project and I can not wait to do it.

I also have a short film script that I am hoping to produce and direct sometime after all the madness dies down in January and February. It is something I have been working on for quite sometime. Hopefully everything falls into place quickly so it can be done.
